Contact your doctor immediately. You may have a serious pelvic infection called pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

Immediate treatment can help prevent the spread of the infection to other reproductive organs such as the uterus and the fallopian tubes. Infections of these organs are much more serious, though also treatable, and can rarely be the cause of infertility.
